In January 2017, Matt released a song under the alias “Pretty Penny,” which brought him to the notice of a significant number of people in the general public.

В 2015 году был проведен всего один баттл: Walkie vs .Otrix. Связано это с тем, что Ивана призвали в армию и на протяжении года он отдавал свой долг Родине.
В следующем, 2016 году, соперниками Walkie T были: Abbalbisk (встречались два раза: в первом случае Иван победил, во втором — проиграл), Млечный, edik_kingsta, El Loco. Необходимо упомянуть и драку, которая состоялась в начале 2016 года: при проведении main event»а в Москве, наблюдалась напряженная обстановка — встречались Walkie T и Abbalbisk (победитель второго сезона «Slovo» питерского филиала). Напряжению способствовала фраза, которая была сказана в Питере и касалась она нелицеприятного отношения к городу Москва. На баттле последовал обмен колкими фразами, после которых Иван попытался взять за щеку оппонента — тот увидел в этом агрессию и ударил. В итоге вышла массовая потасовка и обоих рэперов внесли в бан проекта на 6 месяцев.

2017 год наиболее продуктивный в плане баттловых состязаний у Walkie: Шумм, Dom1no, Abbalbisk, Быдлоняша, Mozee Montana, Vыktor Kolomoiskii, Re-Pac, ?boy, Deep-eX-Sense. Следует отметить участие Ивана не только в текстовых баттлах, но и в площадках, среди которых «140 BPM», где два МС читают свои раунды под бит.
Slovo: Walkie vs Шумм (Grime Clash) | Краснодар (2017 год)
Иван много участвовал в баттлах «Grime Clash», но большинство своих лучших выступлений было проведено на площадке «Slovo» города Краснодара. Достижениями артиста были: в первом сезоне выбыл от Тощи Так-То на стадии 1/4, во втором — от Edye Elate на том же этапе. В третьем сезоне дошел до полуфинала, где проиграл Хасану (перед этим неожиданно для всех выбил Хайда).
